Materials

Natural Travertine
A terrestrial limestone formed by mineral springs, travertine has been used in architecture since Roman antiquity. Each bookend is cut from a solid block, then left with its characteristic open pores and warm sand tones rather than filled or polished smooth. Weight varies slightly piece to piece with the density of the stone.
Design

The receding arches turn a functional weight into architecture in miniature, drawing on the arcades of classical building.

• Three stepped arches give the block depth and shadow
• Flat back and base sit flush against books and shelf

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source.
