Materials

Stainless Steel
The base and arm are bent from a single length of stainless-steel rod: a closed loop foot for the tabletop and a bracket that cradles the book. Polished to resist rust and fingerprints, and rigid enough to hold a hardback without sagging.

Gloss Sphere
A sphere threads onto the arm as the piece's ballast and its focal point, finished in a deep, mirror-like gloss that carries the color.
