A Coveted Vintage Classic

Hear us out—a vintage design classic? Absolutely. While mass-market furniture is known for its affordability and DIY spirit, vintage pieces like the Dakapo were crafted with higher quality materials and exceptional craftsmanship from a bygone era. Think chrome stainless steel and rich solid wood finishes. The Dakapo becomes even more special due to its rarity, making it a coveted collector's item, and it was designed by the esteemed Olle Lundberg.

That’s why we’ve brought this cult classic back, partnering with a top-quality lighting manufacturer who meticulously recreated every detail. From the precise look to the substantial heft—this lamp has gravity, the true hallmark of luxury.

Materials

Chrome-Plated Steel
The base and shade are finished in chrome-plated steel—clean, reflective, and unapologetically precise. It gives the piece that sharp, industrial clarity while holding up to everyday use without losing its polish.

Solid Wood Stem
A single wood column breaks up the metal. It adds warmth, but more importantly, it makes the structure legible—natural grain, slight variation, nothing overly processed.

LED Lighting
Fitted with an E27 LED bulb. Lower energy, longer life, consistent light.

Design

The Bauhaus lamp draws inspiration from the Bauhaus movement, reflecting its principles of functionality and simplicity. The designer's aesthetic merges modern industrial elements with natural materials, evident in the sleek chrome-plated steel and the warm, solid wood stem.

The updated Art Deco-style mushroom shape introduces a futuristic, organic element that fuses unexpectedly but beautifully with the more classic materials. This versatile design means it won't be out of place in a library with leather-bound books or a starkly modern cement interior.

A Coveted Vintage Classic

Originally introduced in the late ’80s, this form stands out for its unexpected mix of industrial steel and natural wood—an uncommon pairing that gives it lasting relevance.

Material Contrast Done Right

Chrome-plated steel brings clarity and reflectivity, while the solid wood column softens the composition. It’s a deliberate tension that defines the piece.

Bauhaus Meets Deco

Clean geometry and functional structure meet a slightly more expressive, almost theatrical silhouette—resulting in something that feels both rational and dramatic.

Reflective Light, Not Just Output

The polished shade doesn’t just cast light—it redirects and amplifies it, creating a more dimensional, ambient glow.
