Originally developed in the 1980s by Danish designer Niels Gammelgaard, the design strips the armchair down to its essentials: a suspended leather seat, visible structural logic, and a polished steel frame that feels almost engineered rather than upholstered.

Materials

201 Stainless Steel Frame
Polished stainless steel forms the structural skeleton of the chair. Rounded tubular legs and tensioned support rods create a highly resolved frame that feels precise without becoming cold.

Double-Layer Saddle Leather
The seat and back are formed from layered saddle leather panels with Oxford fabric concealed between layers for added structure and dimensional stability. The result feels smooth, supportive, and naturally responsive over time.
