Estates In Sri Lanka & India

Our breakfast tea is a blend of two single-estate teas — one from the Bhubrighat Estate, in Assam, India and another from a mountain estate in Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan mountain estate thrives at elevations ranging from 1,000 to 2,500 meters, where the cool, misty climate of Ceylon's central highlands nurtures tea leaves imbued with a brisk freshness and rich, full-bodied flavors. This elevation, coupled with a heritage steeped in tea mastery, crafts teas of unmatched vibrancy.

The Bhubrighat estate comprises of 800 hectares sprawled out across small rocky patches. With 70% of its terrain in the highlands, the estate benefits from the unique climate of the Brahmaputra Valley. This elevation, amidst the warm, moist conditions and rich, monsoon-fed soils, fosters the growth of teas with a bold, malty essence. This highland dominance contributes to the robust and vibrant character that distinguishes Assam teas, reflecting a tradition of tea cultivation that dates back centuries.
