Sink Into It

Inspired by the relaxed leather lounge chairs that emerged from the Italian radical design movement of the 1970s, the Cacao Lounge Chair balances substantial cushioning with exposed wood construction. Thick leather-wrapped cushions drape over a solid ash frame, creating a silhouette that feels both architectural and effortlessly inviting.

• Solid ash wood frame
• Genuine leather upholstery
• High-density foam and down cushioning
• Deep lounge proportions
• Inspired by 1970s Italian design

Materials

Solid Ash Wood
The exposed frame is crafted from solid ash wood, chosen for its strength, clean grain pattern, and warm natural character. The substantial timber profile provides visual structure beneath the generously cushioned upholstery.

Genuine Leather
Wrapped in genuine leather with a naturally distressed appearance, the upholstery highlights the material's depth, texture, and character. Over time, the surface develops a richer patina unique to each chair.

High-Density Foam & Down Fill
A combination of supportive high-density foam and plush down creates a seating experience that feels substantial without becoming rigid. The layered construction helps the chair maintain its shape while delivering sink-in comfort.

Design

The contrast between structure and softness defines the entire piece.

• Inspired by the oversized lounge chairs of 1970s Italian modernism.
• Cushions appear suspended within the exposed wood frame.
• Thick leather upholstery creates a relaxed, lived-in character.
• Rounded forms soften the architectural geometry of the frame.
• Low, generous proportions encourage long periods of lounging.

Italian Lounge Influence

Draws from the era when designers began prioritizing comfort, softness, and relaxed living without abandoning strong visual form.

Sink-In Comfort

The combination of down and high-density foam creates a seat that feels plush and enveloping while remaining supportive.

Exposed Structural Frame

Rather than hiding the construction, the solid ash frame becomes an integral part of the design, creating contrast against the soft upholstery.

Leather That Ages Beautifully

The genuine leather surface develops additional depth, texture, and character through everyday use.
