Cupped Light

A four-arm chandelier in the wabi-sabi tradition — textured plaster cones cupped on a slim iron frame, all in a matte off-white that throws a soft, upward light.

• Four plaster shades, each cupping an E27 LED bulb
• Hand-finished plaster with a matte, lightly textured surface
• Slim iron frame with an oblong ring and a central sphere
• Warm 3000K light, 500 lm per bulb, 80 CRI for true-to-life color
• 4 × 8W LED total, on standard E27 sockets
Materials

Hand-Finished Plaster
Each cone and the central sphere is cast in plaster and worked by hand, left with a chalky, faintly pitted skin that scatters light instead of bouncing it — so the bulb reads as a soft bloom rather than a bright point. The small surface irregularities are deliberate; no two shades come out quite alike.

Ironwork Armature
Under the plaster runs a slim iron frame that does all the load-bearing — arms, oblong ring, and canopy formed into one rigid spine, then finished in the same matte off-white so the metal quiets down and the plaster forms lead the eye.
Design

The fixture sets a rigid iron armature against four soft, organic plaster cones.

• Oblong ring and central sphere give the frame a graphic, architectural line
• Cones open upward, washing light toward the ceiling
• Matte plaster diffuses each bulb to a glow rather than a hotspot
• One off-white finish unifies iron and plaster into a single form
• E27 sockets take standard LED bulbs for easy replacement
