Softened Slab

A shallow entryway console in solid pine, its rounded pill-shaped top set on two wide plank legs — pared to a few soft, solid forms.

• Solid pine throughout, in a walnut or black stain
• Rounded stadium-shaped top, 1.1 inches thick
• Just 12 inches deep to sit tight against a wall
• Wide plank legs read as slabs, not spindles
• Four lengths from 39 to 63 inches

Materials

Solid Pine
The whole piece is solid pine — top, legs, and all — with no veneer over a composite core. The grain runs continuous across the rounded top, and the 1.1-inch slab carries the weight of real timber rather than a hollow panel.

Stained Finish
The pine takes a stain, walnut or black, worked into the grain so the wood reads through rather than being painted over. The tone is a stain color, not the species — walnut-stained pine, not solid walnut.

Design

The console is an exercise in rounding off — every edge softened, every part reduced to a slab.

• A stadium-shaped top erases hard corners in a tight entry
• Wide plank legs anchor the top as solid planes, not thin legs
• A shallow 12-inch depth keeps a narrow hallway clear
• The thin 1.1-inch top keeps the solid wood from reading heavy
• Four lengths fit anything from a nook to a long wall

Solid Pine

Top and legs are solid pine throughout — no veneer over composite — so the grain runs continuous and the slab has real weight.

Rounded Throughout

The stadium-shaped top and softened edges keep a shallow console from catching hips or eyes in a tight entry.

Two Stains

Choose a walnut or black stain, each worked into the grain so the pine reads through rather than being painted over.

Four Lengths

From 39 to 63 inches, sized for a small nook or a long entry wall, all just 12 inches deep.
