A Classic for Slow Mornings

Equal parts sculptural and slouchy, this midcentury icon was made for slow mornings and late-night reads. Inspired by the original Mr. Chair by George Mulhauser, our version stays true to the laidback ‘60s silhouette, with a contoured bucket seat, high winged back, and plush tufting throughout. A deep recline and padded arms make it shockingly comfortable — all while sitting pretty.

34.3"H × 33.5"D × 29.5"W
Materials

Molded Plywood Frame
Crafted from molded plywood with a walnut veneer, balancing organic warmth with structural strength.

Bouclé Upholstery
Richly textured bouclé, tailored with subtle piping along the edges. Backed with high-resilience foam for ergonomic comfort and long-lasting support.

Powder-Coated Swivel Base
Durable metal base with a matte black powder-coat finish, providing smooth swivel action and a crisp contrast.
Design

Designed to balance form and function, this chair was a revolution in mass-market lounge seating — and still feels fresh today.
• Shell-like silhouette cradles the body in a reclined posture
• Tapered arms integrated into the swooping form
• Tufted seat and back offer sink-in softness
• Swivel base allows for easy turning without disturbing the aesthetic
• Light piping adds contrast and highlights the curves
Care

• Vacuum regularly using a soft upholstery brush attachment to maintain shape and fabric texture
• Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading
• Fabric protector sprays are not recommended, as they may alter the feel of the upholstery

Questions About The Command Chair

How long until I receive my order?

The Command Chair arrives approximately 6-10 Weeks from the day of order.

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.
What is your return policy

The Command Chair can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.
How can I track my order?

The Command Chair ships within 7 days of order placement.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details, allowing you to monitor its progress. Simply use the provided tracking information on our delivery partner’s website to stay updated on your shipment.
