Conversations in Form

Originally designed by architect Marcio Kogan, the Daiki chair is a study in sculptural wood and ergonomic restraint. Our version pays homage to the silhouette’s signature shell and grounded proportions, pairing rich walnut tones with textural upholstery. Designed to blend seamlessly into lounge areas or reading corners, it’s a piece that makes its presence known—quietly.

28.4"W × 35.8"D × 27.2"H; Seat Height: 15.7"

Materials

Molded Plywood Shell
Sculpted plywood frame in a warm walnut finish that wraps the seat and back.

Performance Fabric Upholstery
Tightly woven, high-texture fabric that combines durability with visual depth.

Powder-Coated Steel Legs
Black steel legs with a matte powder-coated finish, providing strength while keeping the silhouette light.

Design

At once minimal and organic, the design nods to mid-century Brazilian architecture with its interplay of form and material:
• The curved shell hugs the body and eliminates the need for armrests
• Deep seat depth and low profile encourage lounging and relaxation
• Contrasting black legs provide a visual counterweight to the wood grain
• The tailored grid tufting adds a subtle textural detail without disrupting the form

Care

• Vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment
• Spot clean fabric with a damp cloth and mild detergent
• Avoid direct sunlight to preserve wood finish
• Wipe wood and metal legs with a soft, dry cloth

Architectural Wood Shell

A molded wood shell cradles the seat with a continuous wraparound curve—a hallmark of Marcio Kogan’s design language.

Textural Contrast

The tactile fabric adds visual depth and softness, playing against the structured lines of the wood frame.

Floating Frame Effect

Powder-coated metal legs lift the seat off the ground with a slight recline, emphasizing the chair’s sculptural silhouette.

Comfort Without Bulk

Low, wide, and gently angled, the design encourages lounging while maintaining a crisp, tailored profile.

Judge us by our looks

Our packaging is safe, simple, and proudly no frills. We don't think it makes sense to pay for things you throw away immediately.

That's why the Daiki Armchair ships in the same protective packaging the manufacturer uses, covered in functional stickers and foreign stamps showing the journey it's been on.

We don't hide it and wear it as a badge of honor for the places our products have been and the people who made them.
