A Seat to Pause

Hans Wegner’s 1950 Easy Chair became an instant icon—praised for its laid-back silhouette, tactile woven seat, and sculptural wood frame. Our version captures that same quiet strength and enduring appeal. From the fluid armrests to the hand-woven paper cord seat, every detail is made for comfort that doesn’t shout, just lasts.

7.9″ W × 28.7″ D × 28.7″ H (Seat Height: 13.7")

Materials

Kiln-Dried Solid Wood Frame
Constructed from solid wood for lasting strength and timeless character.

Handwoven Paper Cord
Durable cord woven by hand with refined texture. Flexible yet resilient, it develops a rich patina with age.

Matte Finish
A smooth, low-sheen treatment that accentuates the wood’s warm, organic tones.

Design

Effortlessly sculptural, endlessly comfortable.
• Iconic sled-leg base with deep recline
• Steam-bent arms shaped for comfort and flow
• Over 400 feet of woven paper cord, done by hand
• Light, open weave for visual airiness
• Built to lounge: generous seat depth and back angle

Care

• Dust regularly with a dry cloth
• Spot-clean the cord with a damp cloth if needed
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture
• No special treatments required—the natural materials are made to wear in, not wear out

Iconic 1950 Silhouette

Inspired by Hans Wegner’s original, with the same sculptural lines and easygoing posture that made it a Danish design classic.

Hand-Woven Seat & Back

Over 400 feet of paper cord is tightly woven by hand across the frame—springy, breathable, and surprisingly supportive.

Sled-Leg Stability

Low-slung and grounded, the continuous wood sled base keeps things steady while preserving the chair’s light, airy feel.

Quiet Statement Piece

The kind of chair that elevates a room without trying to. Understated and sculptural—design-forward but never overdone.

Judge us by our looks

Our packaging is safe, simple, and proudly no frills. We don't think it makes sense to pay for things you throw away immediately.

That's why the Easy Chair ships in the same protective packaging the manufacturer uses, covered in functional stickers and foreign stamps showing the journey it's been on.

Questions About The Easy Chair

How long until I receive my order?

The Easy Chair arrives approximately 6-10 Weeks from the day of order.

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.

What is your return policy

The Easy Chair can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.

How can I track my order?

The Easy Chair ships within 2 Weeks of order placement.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details, allowing you to monitor its progress. Simply use the provided tracking information on our delivery partner’s website to stay updated on your shipment.
