Pared back to a few clean lines, the Gunnar earns its keep at counter height: a slim tubular steel frame drawn up into a single rail to lean against, a fabric seat cushioned over high-density foam, and a sled base that catches your feet. Every joint is precision-welded, so the whole reads as one continuous gesture rather than a set of parts. Offered in four forms — each in its own fabric, with a wood back rail or an all-metal frame.

Materials

Steel
The frame is drawn from slim tubular steel, welded joint by joint and finished without visible seams — chrome-bright on some forms, warm gold on others. It is the through-line that holds seat, back, and footrest as one piece.

Wood
On most forms the back rail is wood, shaped to meet the lower back and finished dark — a warm counterpoint to the metal. The gold form goes the other way, carrying the rail in matching metal for an all-steel look.

Fabric
Every seat is upholstered in fabric — never leather — over high-density foam that keeps both its shape and its give through long sittings. Each form wears a different cloth.
