Gusset Armchair

Painted Steel Tubular Frame
A slender steel frame forms the primary structure, with tubular front legs and arms contrasted by broader rear supports. A painted finish gives the metalwork its saturated color and clean, industrial character.

Padded Vinyl Upholstery
The seat and backrest appear to use smooth, leather-like vinyl upholstery over cushioning. The material gives the chair a crisp, slightly lustrous surface suited to its graphic geometry and color-blocked construction.

Solid Wood Armrest Caps
Wood caps sit directly over the steel arms, introducing a warmer natural material at the chair's primary touchpoints.

Foam Seat & Back Cushioning
Padded seat and back panels soften the otherwise architectural construction, providing everyday comfort without obscuring the chair's lean proportions.

Rooted in the functional modernism of the 1930s and ’40s, the design treats structure as something to show rather than conceal. Tubular steel, broad rear supports, compact upholstered planes, and applied wood details recall an era when furniture increasingly borrowed its logic from architecture and industrial fabrication.

• Exposed construction defines the silhouette
• Reinforced rear legs create visual counterweight
• Color blocking separates structure from upholstery
• Compact cushions preserve the architectural profile
• Eight styles offer armchair and side-chair variations
