Washi paper shade
Crafted from traditional Japanese washi—the inner bark of the mulberry tree—hand-wrapped over a delicate framework to yield a soft, diffused light effect reminiscent of lantern craft.


Bamboo/steel wire skeleton
A blend of bamboo ribs and steel wire structure keeps the shade’s form light yet durable—honouring the manual production methods of the original Akari series.
Design Notes

The Haru Pendant is an homage to Noguchi’s philosophy of “light weight” – where illumination floats as form. By translating the original’s lantern-like essence into a tall pendant design, it delivers a sculptural rhythm: the long vertical drop draws the eye, the paper shade softens the electric into something analogue and human.
