Grid System

Equal parts shelving, storage wall, and architectural framework, the Kubus Double Bookshelf expands the modular logic of classic European office systems into a larger-format statement piece. The exposed chrome structure creates a strong geometric rhythm, while the combination of open shelving and concealed compartments keeps the composition balanced and functional.

Designed to work equally well for books, objects, vinyl, office storage, or media components, the system feels industrial without becoming cold.

• Double-width modular shelving system
• Open display and concealed storage
• Powder-coated steel panels
• Chrome-plated tubular framework
• Drop-down storage compartments
• Adjustable leveling feet

Materials

Chrome-Plated Steel Frame
Constructed from polished tubular steel with exposed spherical joints that define the grid structure. The reflective finish sharpens the silhouette while preserving the system’s lightweight appearance.

Powder-Coated Steel Panels
Steel side, back, shelf, and door panels are finished in a durable powder coating engineered for everyday durability and saturated color consistency.

Concealed Drop-Down Storage
Integrated lower compartments open downward with soft support hardware, allowing larger objects and clutter to remain hidden while preserving the clean facade.

Design

Inspired by modular storage systems developed during the modernist office movement of the late twentieth century, the Kubus system prioritizes flexibility, proportion, and visual order.

The double-width format creates a more architectural presence than a standard bookshelf, functioning almost like a built-in storage wall while remaining visually open. Repeating horizontal divisions establish a structured rhythm, while the polished tubular frame keeps the overall silhouette light and precise.

Open shelving allows books, ceramics, records, and objects to become part of the composition, while the concealed lower storage introduces utility without disrupting the clean geometry.
