The “Anywhere” Curtains

Made exclusively of 100% French Flax Linen, sourced from Normandy, our Essential Curtains were made to suit every room in your home — with maximum versatility. They work perfectly as shower curtains, living room drapes, and bedroom window dressings. We made them versatile by first making them:

Light & luxurious — we used a thick yarn (and nothing else). That gives them a luxe, thick feel without adding unhelpful weight.

Easy to care for — they’re made to be naturally antibacterial and washer/dryer safe. Take care of them anyway that works for you.

Universal — each curtain is fixed with universal buttonholes that can be used anywhere –– from showers to windows.

Classic — they come in five classic Essential shades, so they match everything in your home.

Materials

The Best Linen in The World

We’re using exclusively 100% French flax linen from Normandy in each Essential curtain. The most celebrated and sought-after linen in the world. Craftsmen from north and central Europe send their completed flax linen to our curtain makers in Europe and Asia, creating a seamless process from fabric — to your home.

Garment Washed

Garment washing makes linen softer – so you would assume most linen makers do it. They don’t. Essential curtains are entirely garment washed, making them the softest, most gentle linen you’ve ever touched. It also ensures your curtains won’t shrink in the wash, helping them drape your home for years to come.

Naturally Antimicrobial

Most fabrics aren’t anti-microbial – our linen is. That means dogs, kids, and anything else you’d like is welcome to touch your curtains without worries. Our linen is also completely washer and dryer friendly, so you can pop it in as much as you want. It’ll only make it cleaner and softer each time you do.

Naturally Durable

Curtains shouldn't be a quarterly purchase. That's why we made ours with European Flax linen — known to last for the long haul, allowing you to consume less and enjoy more.

Sustainable Fiber & Ethical Practices

Linen is naturally better for the environment than almost any thread. But our producers go much further — using entirely sustainable fabric, working exclusively with sustainable farmers in France. You can rest assured knowing that each curtain is good for the earth, and good for the people that made it.

Design

High Shading
Good curtains should let in light when you want it –– and block it when you don’t. Our curtains are designed to block up to 90% of direct light, which is extremely rare for linen. We did it by never cutting corners with quality. Our curtains are made from an intentionally thicker yarn, chosen to keep light out.

Buttonholed
Our curtains are versatile. Case in point: their buttonholes. You can easily use these curtains to drape your shower (by adding a liner) or to dress your windows (as is).

Soft and getting softer
Like anything that is made with true quality –– our linen gets better through the years. Each wash, and each use, only serve to make the linen softer.

Easy to Care For
Our curtains aren’t just beautiful — they’re usable. We ensured that the fabric we chose would be compatible with machine washing and drying. In fact — it gets better each time you do, making the fabric more soft and giving it a lived-in feel.

Introducing Snow, Cement, Stone and Slate
We are designing your home from the inside, out. We've introduced an intentionally disciplined color scheme – Sahara, Cement, Snow, Slate, and Stone. Get your curtains in the color that best fits your home:

Cement –– a light, airy gray
Snow –– a blinding, fresh white
Slate –– a dark, moody gray
Stone –– a medium, cool gray

Judge us by our looks

Our packaging is safe, simple, and proudly no frills. We don't think it makes sense to pay for things you throw away immediately.

That's why the Linen Curtains ships in the same protective packaging the manufacturer uses, covered in functional stickers and foreign stamps showing the journey it's been on.

We don't hide it and wear it as a badge of honor for the places our products have been and the people who made them.
