The Softer Side of Modernism

A sling chair disguised as a cloud.

Originally introduced in the late 1960s, the Omelette Chair became known for rejecting the rigid language of modernism without abandoning its precision. Suspended leather, deep tufting, and an almost overfilled silhouette give it an ease that still feels unexpectedly contemporary.

• Soft, suspended seat construction
• Genuine leather on all contact surfaces
• Feather-and-down softness with structured support
• Polished stainless steel frame
• Matching ottoman available

Materials

Polished Stainless Steel
The frame is formed from polished stainless steel with softened corners and a continuous profile. Slim but substantial, it provides the visual tension that keeps the generously upholstered form feeling light.

Genuine Leather
Finished in genuine leather across all touch points, the upholstery develops subtle character and softness over time. The tailored edge detailing and gentle puckering highlight the relaxed construction.

Down-Filled Cushioning
A layer of down creates the sink-in quality that defines the silhouette while maintaining shape through a supportive interior structure beneath.

Design

This is a chair built around suspension rather than structure.

• A floating seat construction allows the cushion to drape naturally instead of sitting rigidly within a frame.
• Deep button tufting pulls volume inward, creating shape without heavy seams.
• The low, reclined posture encourages lounging rather than upright sitting.
• Exposed steel creates contrast against the softness of the upholstery.
• The ottoman mirrors the same suspended construction for a continuous visual line.

How long until I receive my order?

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.

What is your return policy

The Omelette Lounge Chair can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.

How can I track my order?
