Materials

Solid Stainless Steel Frame
Solid stainless steel forms the entire structural frame, extending from the angled legs through the arms and into the back. Smooth bends and minimal visible interruptions give the metalwork a continuous, almost drawn quality.

6 mm Braided Rope
Thick 6 mm braided rope spans the seat and back in closely spaced parallel lines. Multiple strands are woven and tensioned by hand around the frame, creating a supportive surface with subtle flexibility and airflow between each course.

Design

The construction follows the material economy of postwar modernism: remove the upholstery, expose the structure, and let tension do the work.
