A finish name only tells you so much. This kit puts one working switch in each of our five finishes, so you can hold them against your walls, trim and fixtures in your own light. The ones that don't make the cut can still go on a wall somewhere.

Materials

Solid Brass
The Brushed Brass and Aged Brass switches are machined from solid brass. Brushed Brass has a fine linear grain that softens reflections. Aged Brass is richly patinated, with subtle tonal variation, inspired by naturally aged architectural brass.

2 mm Stainless Steel
The Brushed Nickel, Matte White and Matte Black switches use 2 mm stainless steel, which is more rigid than stamped steel and resists corrosion and wear. Brushed Nickel is a linear brushed finish. Matte White is low-sheen and sits quietly on painted walls. Matte Black is a deep matte that resists fingerprints better than polished finishes.

Design

Comparing finishes is the point, so all five switches share one faceplate, one set of proportions and one control. The only variable is the finish.
