Clear Thinking

A folding chair stripped to its mechanics: transparent molded seating, polished metal, and a pivot joint designed to be seen.

• Transparent molded polycarbonate seat
• Electroplated tubular metal frame
• Exposed alloy pivot mechanism
• Folds nearly flat for storage
• Non-slip floor-protecting feet

Materials

Transparent Molded Polycarbonate Seat
Molded polycarbonate gives the seat its glass-like clarity without the visual weight of a solid upholstered surface. The smooth, nonporous finish resists water and stains and wipes clean easily.

Electroplated Tubular Metal Frame
Slender tubular metal bends continuously around the base and rises to support the seat. Its reflective electroplated finish amplifies the transparency above, leaving little more than a bright outline of the chair's structure.

Exposed Alloy Pivot Mechanism
Cast alloy joints connect the seat and frame, allowing the structure to fold while creating its most recognizable detail. Rather than concealing the hardware, the design gives the mechanism a prominent place at either side.

Non-Slip Floor Pads
Discrete pads sit beneath the tubular base to improve grip and reduce direct metal contact with hard flooring.

Design

Few furniture types are more ordinary than the folding chair. The radical move of late-1960s Italian design was to treat that ordinariness as an engineering problem worth obsessing over.

• Transparency makes the seat visually disappear
• Exposed hinges celebrate rather than hide function
• Tubular metal reduces the frame to an outline
• Folding geometry is integral to the silhouette
• Space Age materials meet everyday utility

The Hinge Is the Point

The cylindrical pivot isn't hidden beneath the seat. It becomes the chair's defining piece of hardware and the key to its folding geometry.

Folded Intelligence

The same pivot that gives the chair its distinctive profile allows the structure to collapse for significantly easier storage.

1960s Future Tense

Clear plastics, polished metal, and exposed engineering capture the technological optimism that transformed Italian furniture at the end of the decade.

Furniture as Engineering

Every major visual element performs a structural job. The frame supports, the hinge moves, and the molded shell provides the sitting surface.

Judge us by our looks

Our packaging is safe, simple, and proudly no frills. We don't think it makes sense to pay for things you throw away immediately.

That's why the Pivot Folding Chair ships in the same protective packaging the manufacturer uses, covered in functional stickers and foreign stamps showing the journey it's been on.

Questions About The Pivot Folding Chair

How long until I receive my order?

The Pivot Folding Chair arrives approximately 5-7 weeks from the day of order.

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.

What is your return policy

The Pivot Folding Chair can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.

How can I track my order?

The Pivot Folding Chair ships within 1-2 weeks of order placement.
