A made-to-order barrel sauna built from clear, knotless Grade-A Canadian cedar — or your choice of Japanese cedar or Finnish pine — with a half-panoramic pane of 8 mm tempered glass across the back, two facing benches under an arched ceiling, and a choice of wood-burning or electric heat.

• Clear, knotless Grade-A Canadian red cedar — a higher grade than the knotty rustic cedar many competitors use, naturally resistant to rot and decay.
• 38.5 mm (1.5 in) solid wood panels — thicker than a typical barrel sauna, for better heat retention outdoors.
• A half-glazed 8 mm tempered-glass back opens the end of the barrel to the view, so the heat looks out on the yard rather than a blank wall.
• The cylindrical shell heats fast and evenly — no square corners to trap cold air — drawn tight by ratcheting 304 stainless bands.
• Heated your way — a wood-burning stove, or an electric heater in 110 V or 220 V. FSC-certified wood, CE certified, 3-year warranty.

Materials

Solid Wood
Built to order in your choice of three woods, with no veneer or engineered core. Canadian red cedar is the premium choice — clear and knotless Grade-A, a higher grade than the knotty rustic cedar many outdoor saunas use, and naturally resistant to rot and decay. Japanese cedar (sugi) is fine and straight-grained, light and fragrant. Finnish pine is thermally treated for durability — the clean, economical option. Panels are 38.5 mm (1.5 in) solid wood, thicker than most for better heat retention. The wood is FSC certified.

Tempered Glass
A half-panoramic pane of 8 mm tempered safety glass glazes the back of the barrel for the view, with a matching 8 mm tempered-glass door on stainless hinges at the front.

Stainless Steel
Ratcheting 304 stainless steel bands draw the staves tight around the barrel, and the whole cabin rests on black powder-coated steel cradles rather than touching the ground.

Design

A classic Scandinavian barrel opened up at one end — the round form sheds rain and snow while the glass wall keeps it from feeling like a box.

• The cylindrical shape heats fast and evenly: warm air circulates around the curve instead of stalling in the cold corners a square or rectangular cabin leaves behind.
• The low arched ceiling keeps the heated volume tight, so the stove brings the room up quickly and holds it there.
• Facing benches with slatted backrests seat two to four and leave a clear footwell down the center.
• The half-glazed glass back frames the view and pulls daylight deep into the cabin.
• Black asphalt shingles cap the barrel against weather, and a covered front porch gives a dry place to step in and out.
• A roof vent and the glass door manage airflow and make the cabin easy to cool down and air out.
