Materials

Solid Cherry
The top is a single slab of solid North American cherry, a full 2 inches (5 cm) thick — no veneer over a composite core. The grain runs continuous across the notched top, and the slab carries the weight and depth of real timber.

Solid Pine
The two column legs are solid New Zealand pine, also 2 inches thick, turned into simple chunky posts that carry the slab without brackets or aprons.

Water-Based Finish
A low-odor, water-based finish seals the wood in a natural tone that lets the cherry grain read through rather than covering it.

The table is a thick slab of wood with one deliberate cut — a rebate that keeps it from reading as a plain rectangle.
