Circles in Relief

A solid-ash sideboard fronted by rows of hand-carved, domed roundels: sculptural relief that reads as mid-century credenza and modern object at once.

• Solid ash frame, with pine drawer boxes and an E0-rated plywood back
• A repeating grid of hand-carved domed roundels, geometric relief in the Brutalist tradition
• Carved-front cabinets with adjustable shelving and soft-close drawers
• Ball-bearing drawer slides with soft-close buffering
• Mesh ventilation ports let enclosed storage breathe
Materials

Solid Ash & Plywood
The main frame is solid ash—a pale, strong hardwood with open, straight grain. The drawer boxes are pine, and the back panel and drawer bottoms are E0-rated plywood (a low-formaldehyde engineered panel). Expect natural grain and color variation across the solid wood.

Ball-Bearing Slides
Each drawer rides on metal ball-bearing slides with built-in soft-close buffering, for a smooth, quiet pull and a controlled close.

Ventilated Panels
Mesh breather ports set into the cabinet body circulate air through enclosed storage, guarding against trapped moisture and mildew.
Design

The Roundel takes a plain sideboard silhouette and gives it a carved, tactile front—geometry you read first by eye, then by hand.

• The recessed centers of the roundels double as finger pulls, keeping the façade free of visible hardware
• A low, grounded stance on a recessed plinth base keeps the body visually light
• A balanced layout of carved-front cabinets and smooth-sliding drawers
• The flat 15.7-inch-deep top doubles as a display surface for a lamp, records, or a turntable
• Pale ash keeps the piece bright and firmly mid-century

How long until I receive my order?
