Art You Can Sit

A striking take on sculptural seating, this chair channels the artistry of the original Silla Ciénega Chair by Tana Karei. With its signature graphic stripe, mixed weaving, and architectural stance, it’s both refined and radical—an object that feels equally at home at the dining table or in the middle of a gallery.

20.5"W × 20.5"D × 35.8"H

Materials

Kiln-Dried Solid Hardwood Frame
Crafted from kiln-dried solid hardwood and finished in a warm medium walnut tone, offering lasting strength, stability, and natural warmth.

Paper Cord Weave
Thick natural paper cord, handwoven for durability and comfort.

Black Fiber Inlay
A bold, contrasting strand woven seamlessly down the center, adding depth and visual interest.

Design

A chair that makes a statement from every angle:

• Angular backrest flares out like an abstract wing, offering subtle support
• Contrasting vertical stripe provides visual drama and structure
• Mixed weave textures on the seat and back create tactile depth
• Clean, squared legs give the frame a minimalist grounding
• Designed to hold its own—no arms, no apologies

Care

• Wipe down with a dry or lightly damp cloth to remove dust or spills
• Avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the cord’s integrity and color
• Over time, the natural fibers will develop a lived-in patina that adds character

Statement Woven Stripe

The black-on-natural stripe is bold and structural, pulling the eye in and anchoring the entire form.

Minimalist yet Expressive

Even without arms, the bold stripe, angular stance, and exposed joinery make it commanding.

Sculptural Geometry

Every angle is deliberate, with trapezoidal back and squared legs sculpting against the fiber’s warmth.

Crafted Wood & Woven Detail

Warm wood grain meets intricate beige and black rope weaving for a distinctive, handcrafted finish.

Questions About The Silla Chair

How long until I receive my order?

The Silla Chair arrives approximately 6-9 Weeks from the day of order.

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.

What is your return policy

The Silla Chair can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.

How can I track my order?

The Silla Chair ships within 2-3 Weeks of order placement.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details, allowing you to monitor its progress. Simply use the provided tracking information on our delivery partner’s website to stay updated on your shipment.
