The Icon, in Check

Arguably the greatest lounge chair ever made, built in woven checkerboard instead of leather. Same solid walnut frame, same eight-ply birch shell, same die-cast aluminum base, same deep cushioning and perfected recline.

The difference is on the surface: a checked pile fabric woven in three colorways, warmer to sit on than leather and considerably harder to find.

Ottoman included.

Materials

Woven Check Upholstery
The checkerboard is woven into the cloth rather than printed onto it, so the pattern is structural and runs through the pile. Three colorways: Snow, a tonal ivory on white; Sand, taupe on cream; and Onyx, black on white. Fabric sits warmer than leather in winter and cooler in summer, and it doesn't stick.

Solid Walnut Wood Frame
The solid wood frame adds weight and stability, keeping the chair grounded for serious lounging.

8-Layer Birch Wood Shell
The birch plywood shell is historically accurate and adds to the chair's form and handfeel.

Die-cast Aluminum Base + Parts
The solid aluminum base and joints add strength, durability and stability.

Extra Thick Cushions
Deeper and softer than most, designed for the long sit. In fabric the cushions read a little softer to the hand than the leather version.

Design

Famously Comfortable
This isn't just a pretty chair. It was designed for deep relaxation and hours of serious lounging.

• 15-degree tilt angle
• Ergonomic design
• Perfect-height ottoman
• Wide armrest
• Three woven check colorways across five wood finishes

Judge us by our looks

Our packaging is safe, simple, and proudly no frills. We don't think it makes sense to pay for things you throw away immediately.

That's why the Tessera Lounge Chair ships in the same protective packaging the manufacturer uses, covered in functional stickers and foreign stamps showing the journey it's been on.

Questions About The Tessera Lounge Chair

How long until I receive my order?

The Tessera Lounge Chair arrives approximately 1-10 weeks from the day of order.

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.

What is your return policy

The Tessera Lounge Chair can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.

How can I track my order?

The Tessera Lounge Chair ships within 1-7 days of order placement.

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking details, allowing you to monitor its progress. Simply use the provided tracking information on our delivery partner’s website to stay updated on your shipment.
