Structure, Held in Tension

The Monastic Bench is defined by restraint—solid wood framing paired with a suspended leather seat. The structure is direct and legible, with each component doing exactly one job.

There’s no excess. Just material, proportion, and the quiet tension between them.

Materials

Solid Ash Wood Frame
Constructed from ash wood with a visible grain and warm tone. Thick members and exposed joinery give the piece its architectural presence.

Saddle Leather Seat
A suspended leather seat spans the frame, creating a natural give. Over time, the leather softens and develops a patina unique to use.

Dimensions by Variant
39.5": 39.5"W × 18"D × 17"H

71": 71"W × 18"D × 17"H

Design

A reduction to essentials—structure and material, nothing added.

• Tensioned leather seat creates a suspended sitting surface
• Thick wood frame emphasizes weight and stability
• Exposed joinery highlights construction over decoration
• Open base keeps the form visually light despite its mass
• Reads as both seating and sculptural object

Questions About The The Monastic Bench

How long until I receive my order?

Our products take longer to arrive than most others on the internet. But there's a good reason why. Most of our pieces are made to order and ship directly from the source. We don’t keep warehouses or carry excess inventory. This is how we cut costs and pass thousands in savings back to you. But it also means you have to wait a bit longer.

What is your return policy

The The Monastic Bench can be returned after receiving the order only if the product is damaged or unusable.

Our products are made to order. So we cannot offer returns for changes in preference. But we always do what we can to make it right.

To be returned, products need to be completely unused and still in their original packaging.

How can I track my order?

The The Monastic Bench ships within 2 weeks of order placement.
