We set out to create a scarf that’s luxurious, timeless, and effortlessly wearable. With wool sourced from Inner Mongolia, spun in a small Italian mill, and hand-knit in Kathmandu, Nepal, this is cashmere at its finest.
It's timeless — crafted as a classic, versatile scarf, available in four balanced Essential shades. Free of unhelpful labels and patterns, so it won’t go out of style.
It’s wearable. Made with 100% pure cashmere, it’s irresistibly soft, breathably light, and comfortably warm. It’s designed to be your go-to all-season accessory. Light enough for indoors, warm enough for chilly days.
100% Inner Mongolia Cashmere
Our cashmere is sourced and spun in Inner Mongolia, where 70% of the world's cashmere originates. The herdsmen there still follow ancestral methods of grazing and raising cashmere sheep, ensuring the finest material with minimal environmental impact.

Ethically Made
As with any animal product — not all cashmere is sourced ethically. That's why we waited, intentionally, to bring cashmere to The Essential. We spent over a year researching cruelty-free cashmere farms. We can now promise that our cashmere is harvested, and crafted, to our notoriously high ethical standard.
Breathable
Really good cashmere is three things: shockingly soft, meaningfully warm, and light as air. Our ultra-light high quality cashmere is perfect for a scarf because its low density construction keeps it breathable — keeping you warm, but never too warm.
Super Simple Design
Our scarf has everything you need, and nothing you don’t. Crafted from high-quality materials, it’s generously sized at 12x71 inches for versatile wear. We kept it simple—no unnecessary prints, tags, or logos—just pure, timeless style.
Four Iconic Essential Shades
We hand-dyed our cashmere scarf in four iconic Essential shades. Selected to match any aesthetic.
• Snow - a softer, warmer white that goes with anything.
• Cement - a light, modern gray to ground any look.
• Sand - a warm, natural shade that fits with all neutrals.
• Slate - a deep, dark gray to add depth to any look.
Natural fibers have a lot of benefits. Our favorites — they tend to resist wrinkles and absorb fewer odors. The properties are critical for a scarf — something that gets shoved into backpacks, dropped on the floor and comes in contact with sweat on the slopes.
Dry clean or hand wash only. Do not tumble dry. Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent. Squeeze out excess water and lay flat on a clean towel until completely dry. Taken care of properly, cashmere lasts a lifetime.
